Outdoor Learning
Outdoor learning offers a unique opportunity that complements and enhances indoor learning. It supports children’s holistic development and provides rich, meaningful experiences that fosters lifelong skills. Outdoor learning aligns with the EYFS framework, particularly in fostering Physical Development, Understanding the World, and Personal, Social, and Emotional Development. We embrace outdoor learning through, our own forest school, regular outdoor sessions and visits in the community.

Visits in the community
These visits are loved by all of our children. We ensure the children are part of the many celebrations and activities that take place in our local community. We regularly visit the museums, libraries, Fire Station, Ambulance Station and special events which align with our curriculum planning. Our Six-seater prams ensures our youngest ones can join in local walks and outings.
In our commitment to community involvement, we have links with local care homes. This wonderful experience is enjoyed by care home residents and creates invaluable experiences and learning opportunities for the children.
Forest School
Our nurseries take full advantage of our Forest School at our Fazakerley setting. The children have the freedom to explore different outdoor spaces to use throughout the day. The forest school creates a plethora of opportunities to extend children’s learning. The natural environment stimulates curiosity and a love of learning. Outdoor play encourages teamwork and collaboration helping children develop communication and social skills. By spending time in our Forest School helps the children to develop an appreciation for nature and the environment.

We use nature and the outdoors to extend and build upon children’s interests and development. Every nursery has a construction area, with sand, stones, wheelbarrows and spades, as well as cosy areas to share a book, paint and draw. There are plenty of opportunities to challenge, risk take and climb. Our mud kitchens create childhood memories, it adds so much creativity and joy to children’s play. Children are able to construct obstacles, ride the scooters, join in our garden club and participate in sports activity with our sports coach Kyle.
